Consideration was given to the General Update report on Taxis and other matters (Non-Statutory). The Chair welcomed to the meeting Dr Sarah Jones, Senior Environmental Health Advisor, Welsh Government to provide an overview of the mandatory licensing scheme for special procedures in Wales in conjunction with the report presented. The following information was provided:- · Public Health risks were well documented and underreported. This was exacerbated by a fragmented regulatory framework. · Mandatory Licensing Scheme · Introduction of the Licensing Scheme · Local Authority Preparations · Active engagement with Local Authority and industry stakeholder is critical · Moving Forward Following questions from the floor, it was AGREED to note the report and presentation for information.
