The Service Director Democratic Services & Communications presented the report to Committee Members and noted that the purpose of the report was to provide members of the Committee with the opportunity to consider the ‘Draft Social Partnership Annual Report’ for the Financial Year 2025/26 and in doing so agree whether the work undertaken satisfied the requirements of the Social Partnership Duty. The Service Director advised that the report provided an overview of the work of the JCC over the time period as well as noting other arrangements for engagement with Trade Union colleagues. The report also provided a ‘look ahead’ section which recognised the and future intentions to continue to involve both employers and workers in key discussions regarding improvements to well-being, as the Council recognise and value the unique contribution and expertise brought by those directly engaged in public service delivery when addressing shared challenges and seeking innovative solutions. The Chair thanked Officers for the Annual Report and spoke of the valuable engagement that takes place between the Council and Trade Unions and opened up the report for questions. Members were content with reports accuracy which outlined the work undertaken, although commented on the further engagement that takes place out of the formal sessions which proves invaluable for the Council and Trade Unions. Colleagues discussed the work being taken forward with the Welsh Joint Council and how this might feature in future discussions and work of the JCC. Members discussed the role of JCC members with scrutiny and the engagement with trade unions in relation to the creation of the work programme was noted, noting further opportunities of working with other public bodies. Colleagues discussed the support of trade unions by RCTCBC and took the opportunity to give thanks for the spirit of social partnership that was recognised and spoke of the need to continue social partnership within schools. Following discussion, Members RESOLVED: 1. To review the draft Annual report at Appendix 1; and, 2. To agree the content of the draft report (attached at Appendix 1) for submission and consideration to the Social Partnership Council.
Rhaid i gynghorwyr ddweud pan fydd ganddyn nhw gysylltiad personol â rhywbeth sy'n cael ei drafod, fel swydd, eiddo neu aelod o'r teulu. Mae buddiant sy'n rhagfarnu yn ddigon cryf i'r cynghorydd adael yr ystafell fel arfer a pheidio â chymryd rhan.
Caiff datganiadau eu darllen o'r cofnodion unwaith y byddan nhw wedi'u cyhoeddi.
Yn rhestru cynghorwyr presennol y cyngor yn unig. Nid yw aelodau cyfetholedig, swyddogion a chyn-gynghorwyr yn cael eu dangos.
