(Declarations of personal interests in respect of this matter are set out under Minute 73 above) The Leader of the Council addressed the Executive Board advising that as part of the Home Office consultation process for asylum dispersal accommodation, the council had been contacted regarding the proposed use for the site formally known as Plas yn Rhos (Rhosllanerchrugog). The Home Office proposals were for 35 units for families of up to two people per unit. The council is planning to submit a response objecting to the proposal. He reported that the council had been consulted by the Home Office in relation to the property on two previous occasions, and both times had strongly opposed the proposed use. Any change in use for the building would be subject to normal planning considerations in due course. The Leader also advised that in addition the council had been contacted regarding a proposal to use Oak Alyn Hall, Gwersyllt to be used as a HMO for 20 single adults. A formal response objecting to the proposal had been submitted by the council. A planning application had been received by the council.
