RESOLVED – That Councillor Tina Mannering be elected Mayor of the County Borough for the ensuing year.

The Interim Chief Executive read the Notice convening the Annual Meeting of the Council. He reported that apologies for absence had been received from Councillors Bryan Apsley, Paul Blackwell, Emma Holland, Malcolm King OBE, Fred Roberts, Paul Rogers, Robert Walsh and Kate Wilkinson

It was moved by Councillor Beverley Parry-Jones, seconded by Councillor Debbie Wallice and RESOLVED – That Councillor Jeremy Kent be appointed Deputy Mayor of the County Borough for the ensuing year.
In accordance with Section 83 of the Local Government Act (as amended), Councillor Tina Mannering duly made a Declaration of Acceptance of the Office of Mayor of the County Borough. The Mayor called upon Councillors Mark Pritchard and Councillor Terry Evans to propose and second, respectively, a vote of thanks to the retired Mayoress, Councillor Beryl Blackmore and her consort Mrs Dorothy Lloyd.
