RESOLVED – (i) That the submission of a response to the NRW proposals to decommission the ground pumping stations in the area of the Lower Dee be approved. (ii) That this matter be dealt with as an urgent item of business in accordance with Section 5 (Rule 5.8.10(e)) of the Council’s Constitution. Reasons for decision (i) To respond to the NRW’s request for responses to their proposals for the future of the three pumping stations. (ii) The reason for urgency is to enable a response to be submitted to NRW by the deadline of 11 October 2022.

The Chief Officer Environment & Technical submitted a report (COET/17/22) to provide details of a consultation by Natural Resources Wales (NRW) about the future of the Dolennion, Gwern-y-To and Wern-y-Davy pumping stations in Worthenbury.
