Members declarations of interest in relation to this item are set out in Minute 29 above) The Chair of Wrexham Public Service Board (PSB) submitted a report CE/68/22 which consulted Members on the draft Flintshire and Wrexham Well-being plan 2023 - 2028. In introducing her report the Chair of Wrexham PSB referred to the main points for consideration. She responded to Members questions accordingly thereafter, with input from the Senior Performance, Improvement and Partnerships Officer, WCBC. During the ensuing discussion, the following points were noted, in particular: · Regional funding was required to enable collaborative work that would further support the well-being plan to continue. · Members endorsed the positive core objectives contained within the plan. · Recognition that place making should not only be considered in terms of their economic context but in terms of the social and well-being narrative also. · Recognition that whilst current legislation meant only a small number of town and community councils were required to contribute to the process, it was important to find ways to facilitate more meaningful engagement with all town and community councils. · It was recognised that a great deal of positive work was already being carried out within many different communities in the County Borough and examples of best practise should be recognised and built upon. · It was suggested that many community councils were already contributing to key areas within the well-being plan but that these areas needed to be more clearly identified. AGREED (i) That the Committee supports the objectives and the three areas of focus outlined in the draft well-being plan. (ii) That the PSB develop and circulate an information leaflet to all Town and Community Councils (TCC’s) outlining the work of the PSB and how TCC’s can get involved.
