RESOLVED- (i) That the draft response to Welsh Government (WG), who are seeking views of stakeholders regarding the proposals set out in the Homelessness and Social Housing Allocations (Wales) Bill, be approved. (ii) That this matter be dealt with as an urgent item of business in accordance with Section 5 (Rule 5.8.10) of the Council’s Constitution. Reason for decision To respond to Welsh Government within the consultation period, which is due to end Friday 20 June 2025.

The Chief Officer for Housing submitted a report (COH/28/25) that provided feedback to Welsh Government’s consultation regarding the Homelessness and Social Housing Allocations (Wales) Bill, which has been laid before the Senedd for consideration of the general principles.
