RESOLVED – (i) That the report be noted and the suggested recruitment process endorsed. (ii) That the specific membership of the Selection Panel for this recruitment process be as follows: Councillor Bryan Apsley Sonia Benbow-Jones Kerry Mackay Stephen Tilston James Millard (iii) That the vacancy be advertised on the Council’s website, LinkedIn and any other social media channels to ensure it is promoted as widely as possible. Reasons for decisions To ensure the Standards Committee is constituted in accordance with the Council’s Constitution.

RESOLVED – That Kerry Mackay be appointed as Vice-Chair of the Standards Committee for whichever is the shorter of the following periods: (a) a period of not less than four nor more than six years; (b) until the term of office of that person as an independent member comes to an end.

The Monitoring Officer presented a copy of the Council report updating the Code of Conduct for Members which was recently approved at full Council. RESOLVED – That the information be noted.
