2. Review of Statement of Principles Gambling Act 2005 – 2025 - 2028.

   RESOLVED – T H A T the proposed Statement of Licensing Principles for 2025- 2028, as detailed in Appendix A to the report, be approved and the report be referred to Cabinet and then on to Council for final approval. Reason for decision Having regard to the contents of the report and to discussions at the meeting, and to ensure that the Council fulfilled its statutory duty as a Licensing Authority.    Review of Statement of Principles Gambling Act 2005 – 2025 - 2028.

   2025-2028 (DEH) – The report was presented by the Licensing Team Manager, who advised that Section 349 of the Gambling Act 2005 required that a Licensing Authority publish a Statement of Principles governing its licensing policy for a three-year period. The current Statement would expire at the end of 2025. The report outlined the review and renewal process for 2025-2028 and a report back on the statutory consultation. It detailed the prescribed process to publish the next Statement of Principles including referrals to Cabinet, and finally Council for adoption. September 17 Minutes and DN (LW) No. The Officer also advised that no changes to policy were being proposed in this review for the triannual period, with all amendments being within the preface or to administrative elements as highlighted in red, in Appendix A to the report. The consultation had taken place between 8th August and 5th September, 2024 and no responses were received. Having fully considered the matter, Committee subsequently: RESOLVED – T H A T the proposed Statement of Licensing Principles for 2025- 2028, as detailed in Appendix A to the report, be approved and the report be referred to Cabinet and then on to Council for final approval.
