RESOLVED – T H A T the minutes of the meeting held on 9th January, 2026 be approved as a correct record.
RESOLVED – (1) T H A T interviews for the post of Head of Strategy, Community Learning and Resources be conducted to determine whether a suitable candidate should be appointed. (2) T H A T delegated authority be granted to the Chief Executive, in consultation with the Director of Learning and Skills, for any residual appointment matters should a suitable candidate be confirmed by the Committee. Reasons for decisions (1) To ensure an appointment to the post is conducted in accordance with the Council’s Constitution. (2) To ensure the Council’s strategic and operational responsibilities within this service area continue to be met.
RESOLVED – T H A T under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the following item of business on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Part 4 of Schedule 12A (as amended) of the Act, the relevant paragraphs of the Schedule being referred to in brackets after the minute heading.

The report sought to recruit to the post by basis of an interim appointment on a fixed term or secondment basis until 1st August, 2027, where Members would be asked to confirm a suitable candidate for the post in private deliberation.
