3.1 The HoP outlined the report for Members to consider in order to approve the Annual Report and Accounts for the year to 31st March 2023. 3.2 DD of Audit Wales presented her report and went through each section for the Committee. She thanked the HoP and his team for their help in putting the report together. 3.3 Councillor Williams suggested that perhaps all of the external audit information could be put together, rather than being separated by the report, as it was a little difficult to cross-reference. 3.4 In response to a question, the HoP responded by saying that in relation to the uncorrected misstatement, this would still occur in future years; as the Fund continued to increase exposure to these asset classes, their value would increase and potentially reach a material threshold requiring the need to restate accounts. The main issue was that there was an approximate 90-day time lag in receiving end of year figures. The timescales did not align with the Council’s closedown timetable. This was not an error made by the team as the accounts were prepared in line with CIPFA guidance, recognising that there would be a time lag and that the figures could be slightly out. They would have to consider whether to open the accounts to update these figures in future years if this issue became material. Operationally, they would need to discuss it with the Council’s finance team to see if they could have that flexibility. The £4.1m was a net figure. There were some discrepancies but these were very small in comparison, which was very much down to the excellent work of the team. 3.5 The HoP summed up and referred Members to the recommendations. 3.6 The Pensions Committee AGREED to: a) approve the Pension Fund Annual Report and Accounts 2023/24. b) endorse the Chair of Pension Committee and the Section 151 Officer signing the accounts indicating their approval, and c) endorse the Chair of Pension Committee signing the Letter of Representation in respect of the Pension Fund.

Rhaid i gynghorwyr ddweud pan fydd ganddyn nhw gysylltiad personol â rhywbeth sy'n cael ei drafod, fel swydd, eiddo neu aelod o'r teulu. Mae buddiant sy'n rhagfarnu yn ddigon cryf i'r cynghorydd adael yr ystafell fel arfer a pheidio â chymryd rhan.
Caiff datganiadau eu darllen o'r cofnodion unwaith y byddan nhw wedi'u cyhoeddi.
Yn rhestru cynghorwyr presennol y cyngor yn unig. Nid yw aelodau cyfetholedig, swyddogion a chyn-gynghorwyr yn cael eu dangos.
