Ar 24 Medi 2026 derbyniodd Panel Perfformiad Craffu Addysg Cyngor Abertawe dri diweddariad: am Partneriaeth, am Bartneriaeth Sgiliau Abertawe, ac am effaith gostyngiad yn y gyfradd geni ar ysgolion. Cofnododd y Panel hefyd ddyddiad ei gyfarfod anffurfiol nesaf, yn Ysgol Gatholig Sant Dafydd ar 22 Hydref 2026. Nid yw'r cofnodion yn cofnodi unrhyw benderfyniadau ar y tri diweddariad; dywedodd y Panel y byddai ei farn yn mynd at yr Aelod Cabinet mewn llythyr.

The Panel thanked the Strategic Skills Co-ordinator for the update progress. The following was discussed: • Progress Update • Priority One: Develop stronger collaborative partnership with employers • Priority Two: Develop collaborative partnerships to explore the delivery of 14-16 vocational programmes from a place and provision perspective • Summary The views of the Panel on this matter will form part of the letter to the Cabinet Member following this meeting
The Panel welcomed the update made by Funding and Information Team Manager regarding on projected pupil number trends across Swansea schools and the implications of continued demographic decline for school organisation, surplus capacity, school funding and long-term sustainability. The Panels thoughts will be outlined in the letter from the Panel Convener to the Cabinet Member.
The next meeting will be an informal Panel meeting with and at St David’s Catholic Primary School on the 22 October 2026.
