Ness Young, Swansea Council raised the following verbal item with the Board: The Tackling Poverty and Enabling Communities Service within Swansea Council were in the process of preparing to submit an application to the Welsh Government's Child Poverty, Innovation and Supporting Communities grant. If successful, the work would establish a regional lived experience forum across Swansea and Neath Port Talbot and create resources for collecting and sharing lived experience, as well as resources to promote school holiday provision. Swansea Council would be applying as the lead applicant for this regional project. The grant would be used to add value to the work to tackle child poverty across the region by developing new structures and resources that would put the lived experiences of children, young people and families at the forefront of important informing strategic decisions and service delivery. The aim of the project would be to establish mechanisms, structures and resources to identify and maximise the impact of where existing lived experience was already being gathered. It would identify gaps and develop resources to establish good practice across the region and support wider inclusion of lived experience while promoting broader learning from across Wales and the UK. The funding would run until 31 of March 2026 and the aim would be to establish a sustainable model that could continue beyond that date. The application required support from key partners and the PSB had been asked if they would support the application and provide its commitment in writing. Resolved that Swansea Public Services Board endorsed the application submission to the Welsh Government’s Child Poverty, Innovation and Supporting Communities Grant.
Rhaid i gynghorwyr ddweud pan fydd ganddyn nhw gysylltiad personol â rhywbeth sy'n cael ei drafod, fel swydd, eiddo neu aelod o'r teulu. Mae buddiant sy'n rhagfarnu yn ddigon cryf i'r cynghorydd adael yr ystafell fel arfer a pheidio â chymryd rhan.
Caiff datganiadau eu darllen o'r cofnodion unwaith y byddan nhw wedi'u cyhoeddi.
Yn rhestru cynghorwyr presennol y cyngor yn unig. Nid yw aelodau cyfetholedig, swyddogion a chyn-gynghorwyr yn cael eu dangos.
