Does dim crynodeb o'r cyfarfod hwn eto. Caiff crynodebau eu hysgrifennu pan fydd y cyngor yn cyhoeddi'r cofnodion, sef ei gofnod swyddogol o'r hyn a benderfynodd cyfarfod. Maen nhw fel arfer yn ymddangos ychydig wythnosau ar ôl y cyfarfod.
Response by the Cabinet Member: Thank you for your questions and the responses are provided below 1. Where proven that the fault lays with the Council’s Contractor, the Council or the Contractor will take full liability for the damage. A decision will be agreed on the extent of damage and what rectification/compensation will be required. If the damage cannot be proven, the incident will be passed to our Insurance Department to rectify. Any negligence by a Council Commissioned Contractor is deemed unacceptable and we expect any damage from negligence to be rectified in a timely manner, to be mutually agreed with the home owner. 2. For major works adjacent properties are provided with a letter informing them of the element of work being undertaken. That letter will include contact details. This however is not the case with general day to day repairs as these are usually works on a much smaller scale. In all cases where they may be concerns, the adjacent owners should contact Housing Services. Depending on the urgency of the matter, an officer of the Council will contact the owner within seven days to arrange a mutually agreed appointment, with if liability rests with the Council or its contractors, a time frame agreed for resolution. Housing Services has no jurisdiction over claims passed over to the Council’s insurers, as any resolution will be assessed by the insurer’s specialists. 3. This can vary depending on extent and the nature of damage. Guidance would include a clear and professional response, in which their concern is acknowledged and a point of contact provided. The Council will arrange to visit and assess the damage, take evidence including photographs if necessary. If damage is confirmed as associated to work undertaken by or on behalf of the Council, the officer will discuss with the property owner of timeline for rectification/compensation. If deemed not associated with works by or on behalf of the Council, the officer will advise the property owner to engage with an independent expert. 4. For major works, regular Site Supervision visits are carried out. Officers have to complete a Site Supervision form that records the findings of their visits. This includes details of actual works being undertaken, weather, health and safety and any other pertinent matters prevailing at the time of visit. For general day-to-day repairs, approximately 10% of works will be visited, with Site Supervision forms completed. 5. The Council does not undertake informal action. All actions are formally addressed and recorded. However, if a contractor is responsible for damage and mutually agrees to informally settle with the homeowner, that would be out of our control. However officers will keep a record of the damage and settlement.
Rhaid i gynghorwyr ddweud pan fydd ganddyn nhw gysylltiad personol â rhywbeth sy'n cael ei drafod, fel swydd, eiddo neu aelod o'r teulu. Mae buddiant sy'n rhagfarnu yn ddigon cryf i'r cynghorydd adael yr ystafell fel arfer a pheidio â chymryd rhan.
Caiff datganiadau eu darllen o'r cofnodion unwaith y byddan nhw wedi'u cyhoeddi.
Dyw'r cyngor ddim wedi cofnodi presenoldeb ar gyfer y cyfarfod hwn.
Yn rhestru cynghorwyr presennol y cyngor yn unig. Nid yw aelodau cyfetholedig, swyddogion a chyn-gynghorwyr yn cael eu dangos.
