Does dim crynodeb o'r cyfarfod hwn eto. Caiff crynodebau eu hysgrifennu pan fydd y cyngor yn cyhoeddi'r cofnodion, sef ei gofnod swyddogol o'r hyn a benderfynodd cyfarfod. Maen nhw fel arfer yn ymddangos ychydig wythnosau ar ôl y cyfarfod.
Response by the Cabinet Member: Many thanks for your query regarding Bute Energy and the organisation "Our Classroom Climate". "Our climate classroom" are an organisation with experience of providing education support materials to support the Welsh and English curriculum and has been supported by Welsh Government at ministerial level. They specifically provide resources that support schools to deliver aspects of the Humanities Area of Learning Experience at primary level. The have partnered with a number of Welsh organisations including Swansea Building Society and the Principality Building Society and the experiments they support have been used across Wales including all Primary Schools in Swansea. (See links attached below) For us in Powys, we have made enquiries across the current staff of the Education Service and can confirm that at no point has anyone supported or promoted this resource. We can also confirm that the resource has not featured in the weekly Educational newsletter to schools. As the Curriculum for Wales framework gives every school in Wales the opportunity to design their own curriculum, appropriate to their own cynefin (locality) and the themes decided by each individual school on a half termly or termly basis; we as a service are not required to collect and collate school curriculum plans. It is also not a requirement for schools to inform us of which specific resources they use and engage with either in its entirety or partially. Within the legal requirements for curriculum planning, decisions on curriculum content and resources lies with each individual school and governing body and not with the Council or Education Service. It is the headteachers and governing bodies responsibility to ensure a curriculum is designed for learning and teaching for all registered learners at the school aged 3 to 16 and therefore they will draw on a wide range of resources prepared internally and externally. The curriculum must: • enable learners to make progress towards the four purposes • be broad and balanced • be suitable for learners of different ages, abilities and aptitudes • provide for appropriate learner progression • include all six areas of learning • cover every statement of what matters • include the mandatory curriculum components of religion, values and ethics, relationships and sexuality education, Welsh and English • embed the mandatory cross-curricular skills • incorporate a range of assessment approaches which support learner progression • provide choice for learners in what they study at 14 to 16 but still ensure every learner has learning in each Area The headteacher and governing body must jointly adopt their curriculum and assessment arrangements. It is recommended that agreement between the headteacher and governing body be part of a governing body meeting and so be recorded in the minutes for that meeting. Schools are advised to publish an annual curriculum summary to support in their engagement and communication with parents, carers and their wider communities. The published summaries should include: • information on how practitioners, learners, parents, carers and the wider community are being engaged to inform the curriculum’s ongoing development • how the curriculum meets the required elements set out in this national Framework, starting from the four purposes • information on how the school is approaching learning progression and its arrangements for assessment • how the curriculum is being kept under review, including the process for feedback and ongoing refinement • ow the curriculum is being kept under review, including the process for feedback and ongoing refinement 1 Principality Building Society Partners with Our Classroom Climate to Support Climate Education in Wales - Skills.Wales 2 Swansea Becomes First City to Introduce Liquid Trees to ALL Primary Schools
Rhaid i gynghorwyr ddweud pan fydd ganddyn nhw gysylltiad personol â rhywbeth sy'n cael ei drafod, fel swydd, eiddo neu aelod o'r teulu. Mae buddiant sy'n rhagfarnu yn ddigon cryf i'r cynghorydd adael yr ystafell fel arfer a pheidio â chymryd rhan.
Caiff datganiadau eu darllen o'r cofnodion unwaith y byddan nhw wedi'u cyhoeddi.
Dyw'r cyngor ddim wedi cofnodi presenoldeb ar gyfer y cyfarfod hwn.
Yn rhestru cynghorwyr presennol y cyngor yn unig. Nid yw aelodau cyfetholedig, swyddogion a chyn-gynghorwyr yn cael eu dangos.
