Response by the Cabinet Member: Apologies for the delay in sending my repsonse. The Strategic Property team undertook a desktop review of the estate in March 2020 to determine if there was a likelihood of RAAC being used within council buildings. The review did identify some structures that may potentially have used this type of construction detail (buildings constructed from the 1960s to the 90s with flat roofs) but checks have not identified to date any specific use of this construction. It should be noted, these structures are not always easily identifiable without intrusive inspection and therefore there remains a possibility of finding this construction detail in the future. We will of course continue to ensure that roof structures are inspected when repairs, maintenance and/or refurbishment works take place. If we identify said structures, we will take the appropriate actions.
