Does dim crynodeb o'r cyfarfod hwn eto. Caiff crynodebau eu hysgrifennu pan fydd y cyngor yn cyhoeddi'r cofnodion, sef ei gofnod swyddogol o'r hyn a benderfynodd cyfarfod. Maen nhw fel arfer yn ymddangos ychydig wythnosau ar ôl y cyfarfod.
Response by the Cabinet Member: Dear Cllr Karl, Thank you for your question. Whilst I fully appreciate the inconvenience that has been caused to some residents, particularly in the North of the County, improvements are now being seen, which is supported by the data provided here. I am happy to provide the following responses to your individual questions: 1. The number of customer-reported missed collections. The total number of reported missed collections (food, dry recycling and residual waste are all counted as separate collections) are as follows. For information, over 100,000 collections are made each week. Month No. Reported Missed collections March 3441 April 3206 May 2566 June (to end of 23rd) 1159 2. Any internal data the Council holds on actual missed collections (noting that the true figure is likely higher than reported cases, as not every missed collection is reported). This is not data that we would hold as we would not necessarily be aware of missed collection if they are not reported to us. Missed collections have always been recorded in this way so meaningful comparisons can be made before and after the new routes were rolled out. 3. The percentage of missed collections by route and by geographical area. These are detailed on the attached spreadsheet. 4. To date, the additional costs incurred for reorganising and carrying out missed collections. Missed collections are carried out utilising existing resources and we are not able to attribute specific costs. Many will be caught up with vehicles that are passing the missed properties or carrying out other tasks. 5. The savings that were projected/expected when the new route system was planned, and whether those savings have been achieved. There was originally a saving attributed in the 2023/24 FRM of £105k to the route optimisation, based on removing a vehicle and crew from the service. The introduction of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) funding in 2025 provided an important opportunity to strengthen the service. It has enabled the Council to offset the £105k saving while investing in fleet and staffing. The purpose of route optimisation has therefore been refocussed towards supporting a more resilient service in the longer term rather than a purely financial saving. The Council fully recognises that the rollout of the new routes has not gone as smoothly as hoped in some areas and we do offer our sincere apologies for those residents who have been inconvenienced by a service that has not been up to the standards that residents should expect. Improvements are now being seen and we will continue to address any further issues that arise from an operational service such as waste and recycling collections.
Rhaid i gynghorwyr ddweud pan fydd ganddyn nhw gysylltiad personol â rhywbeth sy'n cael ei drafod, fel swydd, eiddo neu aelod o'r teulu. Mae buddiant sy'n rhagfarnu yn ddigon cryf i'r cynghorydd adael yr ystafell fel arfer a pheidio â chymryd rhan.
Caiff datganiadau eu darllen o'r cofnodion unwaith y byddan nhw wedi'u cyhoeddi.
Dyw'r cyngor ddim wedi cofnodi presenoldeb ar gyfer y cyfarfod hwn.
Yn rhestru cynghorwyr presennol y cyngor yn unig. Nid yw aelodau cyfetholedig, swyddogion a chyn-gynghorwyr yn cael eu dangos.
