The Committee considered the report and each recommendation made by the Standards Committee. The Committee made the following comments: • Mobile Phones: Members should be reminded by Chairs that devices be switched to silent. • Cameras: The Committee agreed that Members should be visual during meetings specifically if speaking or forwarding motions, to support with transparency and engagement. • Name Plates: It was noted that, where Members attend via the hybrid option, there is no means of identifying who is speaking within the Chamber. It was suggested that this may be able to be addressed through a technical solution. • Voting Methods: It was noted that Section 4 of the Constitution sets out, the flexible and proportionate arrangements for voting. • Display Materials: The Committee agreed that all members should be reminded that placards and other display material would not be permitted in meetings.
