Does dim crynodeb o'r cyfarfod hwn eto. Caiff un ei ysgrifennu pan fydd y cyngor yn cyhoeddi'r cofnodion. Mae'r agenda a'r papurau isod.
Councillor Sterry asked: Leader, in your recent response to my question regarding councillors' access to performance data, you advised that the new Performance Portal will be introduced in phases, with key service delivery data not expected to be available until later this financial year. I know this data exists because I worked with officers during the initial rollout of the My Newport system and received the reports myself. I used the information to identify trends and raise service issues with officers, demonstrating how the data could be used constructively to improve council services and support residents. However, while councillors continue to wait for access to this information, the Newport Labour Group has already published campaign material highlighting council performance, including a reported reduction in fly-tipping, before more detailed figures were subsequently released publicly. My interest in this data is not about party politics. I am not seeking information for political advantage. As a ward councillor, I simply want access to the same ward-level performance information so I can better understand the issues affecting Lliswerry, identify emerging trends, target my casework more effectively and work proactively with officers to resolve problems for residents. I have also demonstrated that the data can be extracted and filtered to ward level in a manner that complies with data protection requirements, and I have offered to develop an Excel macro-based reporting tool that would allow officers to generate monthly ward reports in a matter of minutes. Do you agree that all elected members should have equal and timely access to ward-level performance information to enable them to carry out their responsibilities effectively? If so, can you explain why councillors are still waiting for access to information that is clearly being used to report on council performance, and what immediate action will you take to ensure that all elected members receive the performance information they need to better serve their communities? Councillor Batrouni responded: Performance information is being rolled out through the new Performance Portal in the first instance. The Council already publishes a range of performance information where appropriate, including recent fly-tipping figures. Officers use operational data every day to manage services and monitor performance. The fact that performance information exists or is published does not mean that all underlying operational data is currently available through the Portal. Work is continuing to ensure information is quality assured, consistently defined and made available to members through the agreed corporate process. The aim remains to provide members with access to relevant performance information as the rollout progresses. All members are encouraged to check the Council website for press releases and to promote positive news about Newport where appropriate. https://www.newport.gov.uk/newsroom/
Rhaid i gynghorwyr ddweud pan fydd ganddyn nhw gysylltiad personol â rhywbeth sy'n cael ei drafod, fel swydd, eiddo neu aelod o'r teulu. Mae buddiant sy'n rhagfarnu yn ddigon cryf i'r cynghorydd adael yr ystafell fel arfer a pheidio â chymryd rhan.
Caiff datganiadau eu darllen o'r cofnodion unwaith y byddan nhw wedi'u cyhoeddi.
Dyw'r cyngor ddim wedi cofnodi presenoldeb ar gyfer y cyfarfod hwn.
Yn rhestru cynghorwyr presennol y cyngor yn unig. Nid yw aelodau cyfetholedig, swyddogion a chyn-gynghorwyr yn cael eu dangos.
