Resolved that: 2.1 Scrutiny Members agree the items set out in the Scrutiny Forward Work Programme (Appendix 1).
Resolved that: 2.1 To consider the report at Annex 2 outlining policy changes/amendments on how fly-tipping could be managed on Council Land and Private Land and make any recommendations to Council before the new policy is presented for formal approval. The Committee agreed that: • In relation to the procedure flow charts (for both flow charts), update the wording relating to ‘visit’ to ensure greater clarity on what will happen. • Include further information (potentially as another appendix) or communicate information publicly on which bodies are responsible for certain areas. For example, forestry, riverbanks, railways etc. • Confirm/clarify the timescale with regards private landowners process. • Although not directly linked to the policy/report, reviewing the current online reporting system so that more than one photo can be included in a report and whether the mapping system can be improved (and potentially use ‘what3words’).
No apologies for absence were received.
No Declarations of Interest were made.
