Declaration of Interest Councillor L Davies having Declared his Interest in this item left the Meeting for the consideration of this item. Construction of a new Primary School including access, landscaping, play / sports pitches, parking, external works, swale, plant and associated works The Planning Officer A Foote introduced the report and provided the committee with a power point presentation outlining the application. The following questions were raised by the committee and were responded to in detail by the Officers in attendance: · Could you tell us where the vacant land would be to build? · Parking provision – will there be a lot of vehicles parked outside the school? · How long will it take to build this school? What is the likely completion date? · Regarding the potential new 40 houses, is there a park there at the moment? What will happen to that? · Drainage – will we be able to take the amount of water off this area to make sure its suitable building land? · Construction of the new roundabout – is it on the existing entrance into Pen Y Dre High School or is it lower down Goitre Lane? · Are we doing anything to mitigate parking/traffic issues?
