Simon Jones then outlined to the Panel the procedure for considering the Precept. Considerable debate then ensued with the Panel voicing that the precept proposal was very high and by approving the Precept it recognised that it placed further financial pressure on the Council Tax paying public of South Wales. The Panel also welcomed the Police’s commitment to maintaining front line policing in particular Neighbourhood Policing.
