RESOLVED- That the minutes of the meeting of the Cabinet held on 12 and 20 February 2024 be respectively approved and signed as a correct record.

RESOLVED- That the Public and Press be excluded from the meeting under the provisions of Section 100A of the above Act during consideration of the following items as it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 12, 13 and 14 of Part 4 of Schedule 12A to the Act and that in all the relevant circumstances, the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information.

The Leader announced that Venue Cymru had been awarded £10m as part of the UK Government’s Levelling Up funding for nationally significant culture projects across Great Britain. Staff involved in the bid were thanked for their hard work in securing the funding.

RESOLVED- That the Corporate Plan 2022-2027 Progress Report be approved.
The Cabinet Member for Democracy and Governance sought approval for the Corporate Plan 2022-2027 Progress Report. The Finance and Resources Overview and Scrutiny Committee considered the report on 5 March 2024 and supported the recommendations. Discussion ensued as follows:- · The report outlined the many achievements the Council had delivered set against reducing financial support and budgets. · All staff were thanked for all their hard work for delivering services to residents, especially those services that supported vulnerable and struggling residents. · Members should make reference to the report when challenged on the Council’s achievements. RESOLVED- That the Corporate Plan 2022-2027 Progress Report be approved.
