RESOLVED: That the variation to the Hackney Carriage Table of Fares be adopted and that officers be authorised to commence the implementation at the earliest opportunity.
The Trading Standards and Licensing Officer presented a report, which required Members to determine a request from a hackney carriage proprietor to vary the existing Table of Fares. The Committee had the option to: · Adopt the original proposal as put forward to public consultation following the Committee meeting · Consider the representations and adopt an alternative proposal · Propose an alternative variation and authorise Officers to commence the statutory consultation with a view to implementation at the earliest opportunity.
