RESOLVED: Council AGREED to: a. Approve the recommendation of the Democratic Services Committee for the immediate revision of the Elected Member Learning and Development Strategy as shown at Appendix A, to include confirmation of the mandatory training courses as set out in paragraph 7b of this report; b. Note: 1) that a review of the Elected Member Learning and Development Strategy will be undertaken in 2024 and the revised strategy will be submitted to Council for approval; 2) the deadline of 29th December 2023 for Members to complete all mandatory training following the Local Govern…

RESOLVED to: a. Note the report and the revised draft Elected Member Learning and Development Strategy at Appendix A. b. Confirm that the proposed changes outlined in Paragraph 5 of the report are appropriate and identify any additional changes to the draft strategy. c. Note the proposed arrangements for the consultation, approval and adoption of the Strategy. d. Receive a further report on this matter in due course.

To note the proposed arrangements for the approval and adoption of the revised Strategy; and To delegate authority for the HoDS, in consultation with the Chair of the Committee to update the Elected Member Learning and Development Strategy prior to its submission to Council for approval.
