Consideration was given to the minutes of the meeting held on 1st May, 2025 The Minutes were AGREED as a true record of proceedings.
Consideration was given to the annual report. ACTION: All future changes to the annual report be highlighted in red to make it easier for members to identify updates (HJ).
A presentation was provided with the assistance of slides. ACTION: Details about the programme be shared with local secondary schools via a bulletin (RY) agreed to provide an information pack for distribution.
Discussion ensued in relation to the Terms of Reference. ACTION: Timing of Meetings to be considered. ACTION: RE ambassadors and school-based groups be invited to meetings to share school journeys on new qualifications. ACTION: SACRE related information to be circulated between meetings to ensure discussions are ongoing between meetings. ACTION: Circulate the current SACRE terms of reference to committee members and schedule an extraordinary meeting in January to review and discuss potential updates before the next SACRE meeting in March. ACTION: Future dates to be sent at the beginning of the year to ensure dates are in calendars.

ACTION: Clarification on the representatives from Blaenau Gwent SACRE who will attend the upcoming WASACRE meeting on November 19th and ensure all relevant members receive the meeting invite. (HJ)
Welsh Farmington Network ACTION: Share information about available places in the Welsh Farmington Network with teachers in Blaenau Gwent to encourage participation. (JM)- complete Food Network Presentation ACTION: Invite representatives from the Blaenau Gwent Food Network to present at the next SACRE meeting to share relevant information and resources with the committee. (HJ)
The following dates for future meetings were reported:- 4th March, 2026; and 10th June, 2026 An interim meeting will be called in January to discuss the Terms of Reference.
