RESOLVED that Planning permission be GRANTED, subject to the conditions detailed in the report, and delegated powers be granted to Planning Officers to amend the conditions to remove the requirement for a full tree survey and arboricultural impact assessment. Application No. P/2025/0183 21 Castle Street, Tredegar, Blaenau Gwent NP22 3DF Change of use from A2 (financial and professional services) to mixed-use A1 (Shops) on the ground floor and basement and C3 Residential flats on first floor and second floor including the installation of rooflights and 2 x balconies, new windows and door and cycle and bin storage Upon a vote being taken, 8 Members voted in favour of the officer’s recommendation and 1 Member voted against the officer’s recommendation. It was thereupon; RESOLVED that Planning permission be GRANTED, subject to the conditions detailed in the report, and delegated powers be granted to Planning Officers to amend conditions to clearly define the scope of the permission for C3A residential use. Councillor Ellen Jones did not take part in the vote.
