Scrutiny means councillors checking how the council performs. The committee then set out a list of requests for more information, including a visit to Windmill Farm, a children's residential home, once it is handed over.
The Committee scrutinised the 2021/22 end-of-year reviews for three service areas: People and Business Change, Law and Standards, and Finance. Members questioned officers on home working, data security, staff recruitment and retention, and the cost-of-living payments. The minute records requests for further reports and information, including a report on staff recruitment and retention, but no formal decision.
Council met on 19 July 2022 to agree appointments to governing bodies, note the 2021/22 treasury management report, approve the annual Welsh Language monitoring report and adopt a three-year dog control order for public spaces.
