Decided: The committee agreed the Council's position at the forthcoming appeal: it would have refused planning permission had it decided the application. The reasons are landscape and visual impact, loss of best and most versatile farmland, fire risk and public safety, and loss of ancient hedgerow. The committee said the proposal conflicts with Unitary Development Plan policies PS2, PS3, GDP1, EC4 and EC6.
Decided: Permission was granted in line with the officer's recommendation, with two added conditions. Before first use, a Car Park Management Plan and a Travel Plan must be submitted to and approved by the Council.
Decided: Permission was granted in line with the officer's recommendation.
Decided: Permission was refused, against the officer's recommendation to grant it. The reason given is that the site does not have enough off-street parking, so more cars would likely park on nearby streets and harm highway safety. This conflicts with policies GDP1 and T8 of the Wrexham Unitary Development Plan, the Council's main planning policy document.
