The Chair welcomed Mr Guy Evans to the Meeting who spoke in favour of the application. The Officer presented the report and in doing so, displayed plans of the site to assist with his presentation. A discussion ensued and the following points were highlighted: · The majority of objections received were in relation to a second application that had been submitted to increase the number of birds processed at the site. · Determining this application did not commit Members to approving the other application. · There was no harm to the rural landscape or character of the site as a result of the application. · There were already extensive hard surface areas so there should be no issue with regards to parking. · Confirmation that the development would reduce the amount of phosphorous entering the River Dee. · Consideration needed to be given to flooding, but the Officer advised that there was no additional risk of surface water run-off from the site. · Confirmation that a Construction Traffic Management Plan would be requested, but it was noted that there had not been any fatal, serious injuries or slight injuries in that area.
