There is no summary of this meeting yet. One is written once the council publishes the minutes. The agenda and papers are below.
Apologies for absence were submitted on behalf of Sandra Hunt and Steve Tilston.
The Councillors present confirmed that their only involvement with Councillor Rogers, was as a fellow Councillor, and none of them had any involvement with him outside of Council business.
RESOLVED - That the press and public be excluded from the Meeting during consideration of the following item of business, as it comprises a matter referred to the Standards Committee pursuant to section 70(4) or (5) or section 71(2) or (4) of the Local Government Act 2000. The requirement to publish or otherwise make available to the public, agendas for, records of, or information connected to this business under sections 100B to 100D Local Government Act 1972 do not apply pursuant to Regulation 26(2A)(a) Standards Committees (Wales) Regulations 2001. Following a discussion by the Committee, the Chair advised that on balance, they felt that it was appropriate to hold the Meeting in public. It was noted however that there would be elements of the discussions that would need to be held in private.
Councillors must say when they have a personal link to something being discussed, such as a job, a property or a family member. A prejudicial interest is one strong enough that the councillor usually leaves the room and takes no part.
Declarations are read from the minutes once they are published.
