There is no summary of this meeting yet. Summaries are written once the council publishes the minutes, which are its official record of what a meeting decided. They usually appear a few weeks after the meeting.
1.1 Apologies were received from Councillor Jon James.
2.1 There were no interests declared
3.1 The information in respect of the outstanding actions had been requested and would be provided to the Committee when received. 3.2 The Committee noted the action sheet.
4.1 The TLS gave a brief introduction to the report, highlighting the following areas: · This report was to inform members of the Children & Families O&S Committee on progress made implementing scrutiny recommendations, previously accepted or noted as to be considered by the Executive and to assess the impact of the scrutiny activity. · This was not an exercise to re-scrutinise any reports but rather to decide whether the Committee were happy with the actions undertaken in response to recommendations and the update provided. · The recommendations from the previous meeting in May were not included in this report due to the short time frame to make significant progress. These recommendations would be added to the next update report for Members to consider. 4.2 The Committee were satisfied with the progress made against each of the recommendations that they previously put forward to the Executive Member, and therefore agreed to remove all items from their monitor, going forward.
5.1 The date of the next meeting was noted.
Councillors must say when they have a personal link to something being discussed, such as a job, a property or a family member. A prejudicial interest is one strong enough that the councillor usually leaves the room and takes no part.
Declarations are read from the minutes once they are published.
