The Tackling Poverty Development Manager presented a “For Information” report in order to update the Social Care & Tackling Poverty Service Transformation Committee on the Swansea Council Volunteering Policy Development. The Draft Swansea Council Volunteering Policy referred to a Managers Toolkit and Volunteer Handbook, which were key components to support the delivery of the Volunteering Policy. The Volunteer Handbook would contain information that would be relevant to the volunteer. The Tackling Poverty Development Manager outlined the progress since September 2023 and informed the Committee of the next steps. As this was a “live” working document, it was subject to further amendments and would be brought back to the Committee in due course.
