In accordance with the Code of Conduct adopted by the City & County of Swansea, no interests were declared.
Resolved that the Minutes of the Social Care & Tackling Poverty Service Transformation Committee held on 26 February 2024 be approved and signed as a correct record.
Mark Gosney, Commissioning Team Leader and Anthony Richards, Poverty and Prevention Strategy and Development Manager provided a “For Information” report to update the Social Care & Tackling Poverty Service Transformation Committee on the Enabling Communities Grant. It was noted that there was a typographical error in paragraph 7.1 which should read “There are no additional financial implications other than those set out in this report”. The Committee asked various questions, which the officers responded to accordingly. The Chair thanked the officers and their teams for all their work in ensuring the various groups were able to access the funds in time for the Christmas period.
Simon Jones, Social Services Strategy and Performance Improvement Officer and Dave Howes, Director of Social Services provided a “For Information” report which summarised the outcome and outputs of the Social Care & Tackling Poverty Service Transformation Committee’s work programme in 2023/24. The report would be amalgamated with the annual reports for the other 4 Service Transformation Committees and presented to Council in due course.
The Work Plan for 2023-2024 was presented “For Information”. It was noted that there was one item outstanding. This would be considered once the relevant transformation programmes had been refreshed for the next municipal year. The Chair thanked all the Officers and Councillors for their contribution to the varied work programme during the year.
Councillors must say when they have a personal link to something being discussed, such as a job, a property or a family member. A prejudicial interest is one strong enough that the councillor usually leaves the room and takes no part.
Declarations are read from the minutes once they are published.
Lists the council's current councillors only. Co-opted members, officers and former councillors aren't shown.
