Working Group conclusions and recommendations on business support
The Working Group agreed six conclusions and recommendations for the Cabinet Members. (1) Consider extra support, such as loan arrangements, for applicants who struggle to pay costs before the grant is reimbursed. (2) Consider other ways to allocate funding, such as funding windows, instead of first come first served. (3) Follow up in a more structured way with unsuccessful applicants. (4) Provide feedback gathered from businesses, including any survey or evaluation results. (5) Examine how businesses can be better helped to navigate the grants and support available. (6) Recognise the professionalism, expertise and commitment of the officers who attended.
