Response by Head of Service: Dear Cllr Elwyn Vaughan, At present, all costs incurred to date—excluding senior officer time—have been fully covered by Welsh Government tourism teams and UK Sport. We currently have one dedicated officer in post to manage preparations for the three major events scheduled to take place in Powys. This role is funded entirely through grant support. The Director of Economic Development and Growth and our Strategic Events Project Officer would like to arrange a meeting in order to discuss the anticipated costs associated with the Tour de France in greater detail.
Councillors must say when they have a personal link to something being discussed, such as a job, a property or a family member. A prejudicial interest is one strong enough that the councillor usually leaves the room and takes no part.
Declarations are read from the minutes once they are published.
