Response by Head of Service: Dear Cllr Ratcliffe, Please accept my apologies for the delay with my response to your question. The sweeper is generally deployed to undertake cyclic maintenance work on the highway (such as detritus and leaf fall events) and to assist emergency services to clean up after an incident. Please see below the frequency the sweeper has operated in Brecon, Hay, Talgarth over the past 12 months. It is important to note two things. • Brecon Town Council has an arrangement with PCC to provide extra sweeping around the town on a weekly basis. • The data has been generated whilst it has been recorded via the tracker in the Geo fence area of the towns and is not the total sweeping time.
