Members noted that the Cabinet Secretary for Economy, Energy and Planning had acknowledged the Leaders’ letter advising that the CJC had decided not to proceed with a formal Delivery Agreement for an SDP this year, opting instead to maintain the preparation of Local Development Plans. As a consequence, funding would not be available from the SDP grant fund, although the Cabinet Secretary had suggested that the CJC consider developing a business case to support innovative and practical approaches to joint working that could attract Welsh Government Skills funding. There was support from each of the constituent authorities for this approach.
