Response by Head of Service: Following the closure of the consultation and consideration of issues and any alternative sites which may have been submitted, further work will be undertaken to investigate the options to meet the identified need. The decision on submitting a planning application or including a site for allocation within the Replacement LDP will be an operational matter. As you will be aware, there is a requirement for the Council to fulfil its statutory obligations. However, there will be opportunities to make further representations either when a planning application is made or when the Deposit Plan is published for consultation and during plan examination before the independent planning inspector.
Councillors must say when they have a personal link to something being discussed, such as a job, a property or a family member. A prejudicial interest is one strong enough that the councillor usually leaves the room and takes no part.
