There is no summary of this meeting yet. Summaries are written once the council publishes the minutes, which are its official record of what a meeting decided. They usually appear a few weeks after the meeting.
Response by the Cabinet Member: The first phase of engagement which took place in the Summer Term was carried out in house, therefore there was no additional cost to the Council, apart from costs associated with hiring of venues (approximately £1k). The second phase of engagement which is taking place during the Autumn Term is being carried out by social research agency Opinion Research Services (ORS), who were appointed following a tendering process. The cost of this is just under £70k.
Councillors must say when they have a personal link to something being discussed, such as a job, a property or a family member. A prejudicial interest is one strong enough that the councillor usually leaves the room and takes no part.
Declarations are read from the minutes once they are published.
