There is no summary of this meeting yet. One is written once the council publishes the minutes. The agenda and papers are below.
Response by Head of Service: There is currently an open consultation on gypsy and traveller site provision in the Welshpool area which is seeking views from the community with regards 6 search areas for a 1.2ha site to meet the Council's statutory requirements. This consultation also provides an opportunity for alternative sites to be submitted. Once a site has been identified, as for any development, it will be necessary to undertake detailed work to make sure that the final scheme meets all relevant legislation and requirements, including an assessment of flooding. To enable all issues to be considered, it is important they are submitted through the consultation process, so that they can be properly considered in due course.
Councillors must say when they have a personal link to something being discussed, such as a job, a property or a family member. A prejudicial interest is one strong enough that the councillor usually leaves the room and takes no part.
Declarations are read from the minutes once they are published.
