Response by the Cabinet Member: Thank you Cllr Beverly for your question about the Car Park Review Workshop facilitated by Aberystwyth University. As you stated the "idea of this workshop was to find an agreeable solution to car parking issues throughout the County". We certainly did reach a consensus at the end of the meeting and I think all who attended appreciated the frankness of the discussion and the outcome. The Car Park Review Cabinet report is making its way through the normal governance arrangement going to Economy Residents and Communities Scrutiny Committee next Thursday (12th June) and Cabinet for final decision on the 24th June 2025. We have agreed to share the report with those who attended the Car Park Review Workshop prior to the Scrutiny Meeting. I hope you will agree that the report reflects the consensus from the Workshop and satisfies the financial constraints that we have to work with.
Councillors must say when they have a personal link to something being discussed, such as a job, a property or a family member. A prejudicial interest is one strong enough that the councillor usually leaves the room and takes no part.
Declarations are read from the minutes once they are published.
