Response by the Cabinet Member: Thank you for your questions. 1. The Statement of Common Ground was developed during and informed the adoption of the current Local Development Plan. For any future planning applications, consideration must be in line with the adopted Local Development Plan. Policy SP7, as referenced in the statement, identifies the Sennybridge (Ministry of Defence) Training Area as a strategic resource and asset in Powys that should be safeguarded. Development proposals must not have an unacceptable adverse impact on this resource or asset and its operation. 2. The comments referred to within the Statement of Common Ground were considered during the development of the Local Development Plan and contributed to its adoption. 3. All wind turbine developers have access to the adopted Local Development Plan. During any pre-application discussions, Officers ensure that relevant planning policies and considerations are highlighted to developers.
Councillors must say when they have a personal link to something being discussed, such as a job, a property or a family member. A prejudicial interest is one strong enough that the councillor usually leaves the room and takes no part.
Declarations are read from the minutes once they are published.
