Response by the Cabinet Member: A1: I want to keep as many members as possible engaged and informed on how we intend to use the additional revenue funding from the Welsh Government. A Member Development session will arrive in Members diaries very soon. In addition, a report will be presented to the Corporate Leadership Team and Cabinet that will set out how the Highways Service intend to use the additional revenue funding to improve maintenance along the highway. A2: HTR use social media for road closures and maintenance but recognise that social media does not reach all our residents and we do send out information to local members on road closures which can be shared more widely. We have recently started to roll out a digital platform for our Highway Inspectors to help them manage the highway asset. We are looking at ways to link this platform back to our customer portal to keep members of the public informed on progress of the jobs they report. Our aim is to keep members of the public better informed. Members of the public can make highways insurance claims via the councils website by following this link: Make a Claim - Powys County Council
Councillors must say when they have a personal link to something being discussed, such as a job, a property or a family member. A prejudicial interest is one strong enough that the councillor usually leaves the room and takes no part.
Declarations are read from the minutes once they are published.
