There is no summary of this meeting yet. One is written once the council publishes the minutes. The agenda and papers are below.
Response by Head of Service: Thank you for your question and apologies for the delay in the response. We are informed by the Independent Remuneration Panel for Wales (the body responsible for setting the salaries for all Councillors in Wales) that a serving Councillor is free to stand for election and will continue in the role they were originally elected to until they are (or aren’t returned) at the election for which they are standing. As such, there is nothing that stops a Councillor continuing to be a Councillor or Cabinet member (and receiving a salary from Powys) until the time they are elected as an MP. At the point of election, they would have to resign from being a Councillor in order to take up their role as an MP.
Councillors must say when they have a personal link to something being discussed, such as a job, a property or a family member. A prejudicial interest is one strong enough that the councillor usually leaves the room and takes no part.
Declarations are read from the minutes once they are published.
