Response by the Cabinet Member: Thank you for the question, Councillor Amanda and I can confirm that the British Horse Society have indeed been in touch with me as the Portfolio Holder for a Greener Powys. There are a number of the BHS information posters and Highways have been instructed to consider how they can be utilised during the 2023 season where it can be demonstrated they may provide a benefit to both horse riders and road users. If you have a specific location in mind, please contact the Traffic Section by emailing traffic@powys.gov.uk detailing the section of road and referencing the issue that occurs there.
Councillors must say when they have a personal link to something being discussed, such as a job, a property or a family member. A prejudicial interest is one strong enough that the councillor usually leaves the room and takes no part.
Declarations are read from the minutes once they are published.
