Response by the Cabinet Member: I have repeated your questions for ease of reference: 1. Have you received any correspondence from Welsh Government in relation to the purchase of Gilestone Farm for the Green Man festival or had any discussions with them in relation to the matter and what was the nature of those discussions/correspondence? · Yes, we have had general discussions about the purchase of the site both before and after the purchase. All discussions have been limited in nature and have confirmed two matters i.e. that PCC is in general support of the diversification aspirations of the Greenman festival and that from a regulatory perspective (licensing) that they would be considered capable of undertaking such activities. The details of any proposed events would of course need to be clarified before we could comment further. 2. Has it been confirmed that the intention is to hold 3 events a year for no more than 3000 people each time? · No firm details have been shared with us regarding the use of the site. Please note that the site already holds activities and that it is with the BBNPA, so we are not the planning authority. 3. Has the option of selling the farm been mentioned/discussed by/with Welsh Government? · No, it has not.
Councillors must say when they have a personal link to something being discussed, such as a job, a property or a family member. A prejudicial interest is one strong enough that the councillor usually leaves the room and takes no part.
