Response by the Cabinet Member: Diolch am eich ymholiad a’r pwynt gwerthfawr rydych chi wedi’i amlygu. Gallaf eich sicrhau ein bod yn gwerthfawrogi POB darpariaeth Cyfrwng Cymraeg ar draws Powys yn enwedig o fewn y cynnig ôl-16. Mae’r Chweched yn ei flwyddyn gyntaf o weithredu ac mae angen eglur i wella’r cynnig Cyfrwng Cymraeg a galwedigaethol. Fodd bynnag, rydych yn mynegi pwynt dilys iawn nad yw datblygiad gwefan y Chweched yn llwyddo i hyrwyddo’r addysg Cyfrwng Cymraeg sydd ar gael ar hyn o bryd ac mae’r methiant hwn wedi cael ei ychwanegu at y rhestr o flaenoriaethau ar gyfer cam nesaf datblygu’r safle. Thank you for your query and the valuable point you have raised. I can assure you that we do value ALL Welsh Medium provision across Powys especially within the Post-16 offer. The Chweched is in its first year of implementation and there is a clear need to improve both the Welsh Medium and vocational offering. However, you raise a very valid point that the initial phase of the Chweched website development fails to promote the Welsh Medium offering that is currently available and this omission has now been added to the list of priorities for the next phase of the site development.
Councillors must say when they have a personal link to something being discussed, such as a job, a property or a family member. A prejudicial interest is one strong enough that the councillor usually leaves the room and takes no part.
