There is no summary of this meeting yet. Summaries are written once the council publishes the minutes, which are its official record of what a meeting decided. They usually appear a few weeks after the meeting.
Response by the Cabinet Member: I think it’s a great opportunity for the vehicle to be used in a creative way. However, as a number of Charities/Organisations have approached us in the same manner we need to take a fair approach. As an Authority we also need to maximise the sale value to ensure we have sufficient funds within our replacement capital programme for vehicles. Taking the above into consideration the Library Van will be going to auction. We fully intend on informing all interested parties that it can be purchased through the auction and to bid if they want.
Councillors must say when they have a personal link to something being discussed, such as a job, a property or a family member. A prejudicial interest is one strong enough that the councillor usually leaves the room and takes no part.
Declarations are read from the minutes once they are published.
