Response by the Portfolio Holder: Following the confirmation of the Cabinet decision, the Transformation Team will be developing the formal approach to this review over the summer, and will be focusing on assessing the demand in the wider area for Welsh-medium primary provision. If this review concludes that this is a viable option, and that there is demand for a school that may grow over time, then the team will explore staffing options. In terms of secondary Welsh-medium provision, currently the nearest provision is at Ysgol Calon Cymru in Builth Wells.
Councillors must say when they have a personal link to something being discussed, such as a job, a property or a family member. A prejudicial interest is one strong enough that the councillor usually leaves the room and takes no part.
Declarations are read from the minutes once they are published.
